The Institute of Physical Chemistry of Microscopic Systems is located on the main campus (southern campus) in building No. 30.44.

using ÖPNV (public transportation system):
There's a very good public transportation system in Karlsruhe but you can of course also take a taxi. If you're living in downtown using trams is highly recommended. During the day trams are going every 2 to 10 minutes. Public transportation system im Karlsruhe is supported by Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund . So you can use the same ticket for trams and busses.

by car:
- coming from North-West:
Take the Autobahn A61 until you reach A5. Go on as described in "coming from the North" - coming from North:
Take the Autobahn A5, towards "Karlsruhe/Basel" up to the exit "Karlsruhe - Durlach", go on towards "Karlsruhe" (first exit). Use the following road, then turn right at the "Universität" sign. - coming from the East:
Take the Autobahn A8 towards Karlsruhe up to the "Karlsruher Dreieck", go on then towards A5 "Frankfurt", then take the exit "Karlsruhe - Durlach". Go on as described in "coming from the North" - coming from the South/South-West:
Take the Autobahn A5 towards "Frankfurt", exit "Karlsruhe - Durlach". Go on as described in "coming from the North".
If you'd like to park your car on the campus you should ask for a parking permisson at the main gate of the campus (eastern entrance).

by train:
Step out of the main station at the main entrance. To get to university choose either tram no. 2 (towards Wolfartsweier Nord), or tram no. 3 (towards Heide) or tram no. S4 (towards Bretten). Get off at the station "Kronenplatz/Universität" or "Durlacher Tor". For more detailled information about travelling by train please visit the website of Deutsche Bahn .

- coming from Frankfurt:
Many trains are going directly from the air-port in Frankfurt ("Frankfurt am Main Flughafen") to Karlsruhe. Find a comfortable train connection at this website: Deutsche Bahn

Thanks to numerous rail and bus links, you can get to and from Stuttgart Airport quickly and easily. Take S-Bahn S2 or S3 from Stuttgart Central Station to the airport. You will arrive at level 1 of Terminal 1 without changing trains.
Journey time between Stuttgart Central Station and Stuttgart Airport is 27 minutes. From 04:55 weekdays (or 5:25 Sundays and holidays) to 0:25 S-Bahn trains run from Central Station every 10 or 20 minutes (weekend 30 minutes).
Trains run from the airport to Central Station between 5:08 (or 5:48 Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) and 0:08.
